Students' mural beautifies South Toledo

Bowling Green State University students Liz Butterfield, left, and Jamie Scherer, right, work alongside several other students Thursday on a mural on the side of the Green Lantern in South Toledo. The pair are part of an annual two-week workshop put on by the university in partnership with the Sofia Quintero Art and Cultural Center in which students work on murals in South Toledo. This year, they’re tackling the Green Lantern as well as projects to paint murals of Cesar Chavez and Martin Luther King, Jr.
