Through June, the Wood County Humane Society is offering special cat adoption rates to alleviate crowding in the shelter.
Adopters can take home a cat for $50 and adopt a second cat at no charge if the adoptions are the same day. The event corresponds with the national “Adopt a Shelter Cat” month.
Adoption hours at the shelter at 801 Van Camp Road in Bowling Green are Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m., and Fridays through Sundays from noon to 4 p.m.
All adoptions include spay/neuter surgery, distemper and rabies vaccines, feline immunodeficiency virus and feline leukemia tests, a microchip, and free physical examination at local participating veterinarians.
