Greg Repass and Rich Iott want to give the Toledo-area economy a bit of a bounce.

The owners of the Springfield Town Center finalized a deal Thursday to bring Sky Zone Trampoline Park to the Springfield Township development.

The $3 million building will be Phase III of the Stone Oak Business Condominiums, which is part of the Springfield Town Center complex at the corner of Airport Highway and Albon Road.

“It’s a big get for our community. It’s a big get for Toledo,” Mr. Repass said. “Every developer in town has been wanting Sky Zone.”

Sky Zone is an indoor trampoline park. The 27,000-square-foot Springfield Township facility will be run by Carrie Snyder, who also owns a Sky Zone franchise in Fort Wayne, Ind.

“After an exhaustive search of the Toledo real estate market, we are so pleased to be working with Greg and Rich,” Ms. Snyder said. “We can’t wait to bring Sky Zone’‍s awesome, healthy fun to Toledo.”

Mr. Repass said he visited Ms. Snyder’s Fort Wayne franchise on a weekday morning during the school year. He found a group of senior citizens walking and exercising with resistance bands in one area, while a bunch of young mothers and their toddlers bounced and played in another.

Sky Zone also features areas where bouncers can slam-dunk a basketball, play dodgeball, flip into a pit filled with foam cubes, or experience the brief sensation of flying.

There are more than 60 Sky Zone facilities around the United States, including four in Ohio. The Web site for the Columbus franchise showed weekday prices of $9 for 30 minutes of bouncing and $13 for an hour.

Stephanie Kuhlman of Industrial Developers Ltd. said construction is expected to begin immediately, and Sky Zone should be open before the end of the year.

Sky Zone will create four full-time positions and about 90 part-time jobs.

Mr. Repass said the typical Sky Zone draws customers from as far as 90 miles away. That means out-of-towners will come to the Toledo area not just to bounce, but to eat at restaurants and shop.

Thursday’s announcement came just a week after the news that Glass City Athletics broke ground on a 22,500-square-foot facility at Springfield Town Center that will play host to youth volleyball tournaments and training for volleyball and other sports.

Mr. Repass is excited about the idea that parents and siblings of the volleyball players can pass their time at Sky Zone, or check out some of the businesses in condos that were built in 2009.

Some of the condos are home to businesses, while others are “mancaves” where people keep their vintage automobiles or just hang out.

Mr. Repass also said he and Mr. Iott are “a month or two away” from announcing a few restaurants that will occupy the front of the 15-acre, mixed-use site.
