FINDLAY-- A closed-door pre-trial hearing was held today in Findlay Municipal Court in the misdemeanor case against a Riverdale School District teacher seen on video using force against a kindergartner in May.

Defendant Barb Williams' attorney Jay Feldstein would not comment, but Findlay assistant law director Alan Hackenberg said no motions were filed and he expects another pre-trial hearing before the case goes to trial.

The child's parents, Autumn and Anthony Nelson, told assembled media that authorities should be doing more to investigate the incident.

They met briefly after today's hearing with Mr. Hackenberg, who said he would make contact with others involved in the incident's investigation to see "if there's anything more that could be done."

The next court date has yet to be scheduled.

Mr. Nelson said the family has not made a decision "at this time" regarding filing a civil suit in the matter.
