Crash on Bancroft causes loss of power
7/18/2014More than 500 Toledo Edison customers were without power late Friday and a stretch of Bancroft Street remained closed after a crash.
No injuries were reported. Police blocked Bancroft between Clinton Street and Upton Avenue.
The crash, reported about 8:50 p.m., knocked a transformer to the pavement, authorities said. A utility pole leaned at a 45-degree angle over Bancroft.
Toledo Edison crews were on the scene and making repairs.
