Toledo Diocese names director for 2 schools

The Toledo Diocese has appointed a longtime higher education administrator to a new position of executive director of the Central City Ministry of Toledo Catholic School.

Gregory A. Guzman will oversee the two CCMT schools: Rosary Cathedral on Collingwood Boulevard and Queen of Apostles on Courtland Avenue. Mr. Guzman is a former president of Herzing University, and has worked in administration at Bowling Green State University, Lourdes University, Tiffin University, Owens Community College, and the Great Lakes Higher Education Corporation.

He is a Toledo native who attended St. James Catholic grade school and Toledo Central Catholic high school. His wife, Jennifer, is principal of St. Joan of Arc Catholic elementary school, and the pair have two children.

Mr. Guzman received a bachelor‘s degree in journalism and a master’s degree in administration from BGSU. He is working toward a doctorate in higher education at the University of Toledo.
