FINDLAY — The Hancock Historical Museum is offering a guided tour of Hancock County barns decorated with painted quilt designs.

The Friday bus tour departs from the museum, 422 W. Sandusky St. in Findlay, at 9 a.m. and ends at 4:30 p.m.

Artist Barb Gabriel, who originated the county’s barn quilt trail, will lead the tour, which will showcase more than 35 barn quilts located within 100 miles.

The colorful folk art often is painted on boards to resemble quilt squares and mounted to a barn.

The tour includes a lunch and costs $55 for museum members and $60 for nonmembers. Reservations must be made by Thursday. Call the museum at 419-423-4433 for more information. Proceeds benefit museum programs.
