Tax evader sentenced to 3 years on probation
7/29/2014A Defiance County man who admitted underreporting his income to the Internal Revenue Service was placed on probation Monday for three years and ordered to pay restitution of $75,282. Michael W. Bakle was sentenced by U.S. District Judge Jeffrey Helmick. Bakle had pleaded guilty Feb. 21 to five counts of tax evasion for underreporting his income by $224,111 between 2006 and 2010.
