CINCINNATI — The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce has been named the “Chamber of the Year” by the Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives.

The Toledo organization was in the largest size category: chambers with budgets over $2 million. The other finalists in the category were Olympia, Wash., Lexington, Ky., and Boise.

The organization says to win, chambers must have not only demonstrated organizational strength, but also have made an impact on key community priorities such as education, transportation, business development, and quality of life.

“We share this honor with our members and the community,” Toledo chamber President Wendy Gramza said. “All of our staff members are proud to work to support the businesses in this great region.”

The Toledo Regional Chamber of Commerce says it has a membership of more than 2,300 businesses.

The award was presented Wednesday night at the group’s annual convention in Cincinnati.
