Cullen Park, a Maumee River boat launch in Toledo's Point Place, will close for the remainder of the year on Tuesday so improvements can be finished to the park's ramp, docks, parking areas, and roads, the city of Toledo said today.
Boaters are advised to use other facilities for the remainder of this year.
Those improvements, as well as a channel-dredging project, are being done to improve access to western Lake Erie, the city said.
The $850,000 of improvements to the facility and the $475,000 re-dredging costs are being covered by state grants, the statement said.
