Under the Moon 5K walk-run set for Sept. 9
9/1/2014Runners and walkers are invited to experience Pearson Metropark by moonlight on Sept. 9 during the the Under the Moon 5K run/​walk.
The event will be from 6 to 8:30 p.m. and is the first of two planned nocturnal Metropark activities.
A $5 entry fee and advance registration are required at metroparksprograms.com. The next one will be Oct. 7 at Secor Metropark.
The event is sponsored by the Metroparks with the Toledo Roadrunners Club and Dave’s Running Shop. Running or walking will be on Pearson’s 3.1-mile wooded trail. Special lighting will help illuminate the way, but flashlights and headlamps are suggested.
