Despite a plea from an attorney who contended his client was not a flight risk, a Lucas County Common Pleas judge set bond at $1.15 million Thursday for an Erie, Pa., man accused of shooting a Toledo man to death.

Keevon Johnson, 34, is charged with murder, felonious assault, and discharge of a firearm upon or over a public road or highway, each with a firearm specification.

He is accused in the fatal shooting of Marcus Osley, 28, of Toledo outside the Chez Joey strip club downtown Aug. 21.

Through his attorneys, Mr. Johnson entered not guilty pleas to the charges. Judge Dean Mandros set an Oct. 6 trial date.
