Also, pictured, Kaitlyn Welling, 9, of Millbury looks back from a passenger seat in a Piper Cherokee 6 before hitting the sky on a free flight. The event is a local Father’s Day weekend staple. The Pietenpol is named for designer Bernie Pietenpol who first flew such a craft in 1928.
