Perrysburg's Way Public Library offers auto-renewals

    Way Public Library has started an automatic renewal policy, meaning any eligible item can be kept for an additional four weeks without returning it to the library.

    The Perrysburg library’s patrons will get emails three days before items’ due dates advising them if the item is eligible. Ineligible items are those that were requested by others, are too new to be renewed, or are otherwise overdue.

    “People are expressing a lot of excitement about our new auto-renewals,” library director Janel Haas said. “We are glad we can make it so much easier for them to enjoy their items longer — no more last-minute trips to the library or to their online account just to renew items. We expect the new auto-renew service will make library use even more convenient for our patrons.”
