Area dental firms to hold candy buyback

Brookview Dental will hold its annual “candy buyout” program Wednesday and Thursday in hopes of decreasing childhood tooth decay.

Frankel Dentistry’s buyback also will start Wednesday and run through Nov. 7.

Both buy leftover Halloween sweets for $1 per pound.

Brookview Dental is at 7135 W. Sylvania Ave., and Frankel Dentistry has sites at 5012 Talmadge Rd., Toledo, and 4359 Keystone Drive, Maumee.

The collected sweets will be sent to U.S. troops.
