Bowling Green holiday celebration has World War I flair

BOWLING GREEN — A holiday celebration with a nod to World War I history will benefit the Wood County Historical Center & Museum.

The Furlough from the Front Holiday Gala fund-raiser will take place from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 9 at the museum, 13660 County Home Road.

The event includes tours of the World War I exhibit “Over There! Send Word, the Wood County Boys are Coming!”, heavy appetizers, raffle prizes, and a holiday gift courtesy of the Historical Society Gift Shop.

The Maumee High School Singers will offer live entertainment until 6:30 p.m., followed by WWI-era music from the Bowling Green State University Popular Culture Library.
