Former Toledo mayoral candidate must report to prison July 17

James Moody, former Toledo mayoral candidate and Realtor, was ordered Friday to report July 17 to begin serving a 66-month prison sentence.

Moody, 56, of Sylvania Township was convicted at trial in U.S. District Court of conspiring to defraud the government through the company, Business Rehabilitation Informed Decisions Guiding Employment Strategies or BRIDGES, which contracted with Lucas County Job and Family Services to provide job training and placement services.

Moody, founder and owner of Flex Realty, is to report to the Federal Correctional Institution in Morgantown, W. Va. He was required to surrender his real estate license after his sentencing.
