Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull,” black and white male, unlicensed; bite history; surrendered Aug. 21 by Angela Mocniak, Todd Road, Petersburg, Mich.

Poodle mix, white female, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (large tumor); stray taken to shelter by Washington Township police Aug. 15 from the 5600 block of Stickney Avenue, Toledo.

Labrador retriever/“pit bull” mix, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/dog aggression (growled at a “helper dog” Aug. 22); surrendered Aug. 18 by Desniq Campbell, Middlesex Drive, Toledo.

“Pit bull,” white and gray male, unlicensed; bite attempt (tried to bite shelter staff); surrendered Aug. 21 by Holly Love, Woodstock Avenue, Toledo.

Shih Tzu, white and black female, licensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/quality of life (blind, deaf, missing most teeth, muscle-wasting, incontinent); surrendered Aug. 21 by Lois Ford, Woodland Lane, Sylvania.

Chihuahua/Shih Tzu mix, black and gray female, licensed; owner requested euthanasia (17 years old, blind, deaf, incontinent, coughing); surrendered Aug. 23 by Paula Seltzer, Rosemary Court, Walbridge.
