For a complete list of available dogs, go to lucascountydogs.petfinder.com. A $100 adoption fee includes spay-neuter, a heartworm check, microchip ID, vaccinations, and a behavioral evaluation.

Breed and description; reason; intake type and date with location found if stray. Dogs killed for poor behavior on body-handling and resource-guarding assessments are scored on a scale of 5, with higher scores being more aggressive. Dog-aggression assessments are not scored:

“Pit bull,” gray and brindle male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/​body handling (scored 3 out of 5 on Sept. 15); stray taken to shelter Sept. 10 by Paul Wisher, Northwood Avenue, Toledo, from Northwood Avenue, Toledo.

Labrador retriever/​Catahoula leopard dog mix, black and white male, unlicensed; failed behavior evaluation/​dog aggression (rushed in, tail up, growling during playgroup Sept. 18); stray picked up Sept. 11 by a control officer at 1315 Freedom St., Toledo.

Chow chow mix, black male, unlicensed; veterinarian recommended euthanasia/​quality of life (unable to sit or stand, paralyzed in rear, caked in feces, matted, fleas and maggots, smells necrotic); stray picked up Sept. 19 by a control officer at 521 Paine Ave., Toledo.

Brussels griffon mix, orange and white female; stray taken to shelter Sept. 1 by Danielle Woods, Hill Avenue, Toledo, from Cherry Street and Collingwood Boulevard, Toledo.

Dachshund, blue merle male; stray taken to shelter Sept. 5 by Michael Merce, Quigley Road, Springfield Township, from Quigley Road and South Avenue, Springfield Township.

Labrador retriever mix, black and white male; stray picked up Sept. 6 by a control officer at 2430 Lawrence Ave., Toledo.

Boxer mix, orange and white female; stray taken to shelter Sept. 9 by Kaylyn Maeir, 141st Street, Toledo, from Champlain and Cherry streets, Toledo.

Chihuahua, black and tan female; surrendered Sept. 10 by James Helminiak, Turnbury Lane, Perrysburg.
