A dozen teachers from Arborwood Elementary Campus will be at the Greenwood Apartments, the Chestnut Hills Apartments, and the Navarre Branch Library through Aug. 22 helping Monroe school children with reading.

Sessions will be an hour long, for children in kindergarten through sixth grades. Eighty children will participate, according to Delsie Sissoko, an Arborwood school improvement coach and member of the school’‍s family engagement committee, who is coordinating the summer reading program.

Third through sixth graders will blog about what they read and how they liked their summer reading experience.
