  • The recent run of rain and nasty weather wasn't enough to wash out the River Raisin Festival in Blissfield last weekend. A float of flags leads off the parade through the downtown, which was lined with spectators. Other activities were in the vicinity of Blissfield High School, between South Lane and Walnut streets.

Riding in an old-time Army Jeep as part of the parade were Toledo's Zenobia Shrine Legion of Honor veterans, from left, Ken LeBay, Mort Edgington, waving to the crowd, and Doug LeBay, Ken's son, who was behind the wheel.

Waving back to the parade participants was Carma King, who was sitting in her South Lane Street front yard.
