Dog dies in South Toledo house fire

A dog died in a Monday morning house fire, Toledo Fire Department spokesman Pvt. Sterling Rahe said, though no person was injured in the blaze. 

Firefighters responded about 8:15 a.m. to the 3500 block of Glynn Drive in South Toledo. There, firefighters found smoke coming from the home, Pvt. Rahe said, with the fire appearing to have started near the kitchen in the rear of the home. 

Firefighters extinguished the blaze after arriving on scene.

A dog was removed from the home, and attempts to revive it were unsuccessful.
