BOWLING GREEN – Brian A. Murphy, a Toledo Public Schools deputy superintendent, entered a not guilty plea Thursday in Bowling Green Municipal Court to operating a vehicle while under the influence.

Mr. Murphy, 44, of Maumee was arrested Dec. 21 in Bowling Green after police observed him driving erratically on I-75. He failed several field sobriety tests and refused to take a breath test, resulting an automatic driver’s license suspension, according to a police report.

The school district placed him on administrative leave after learning of his arrest. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for Jan. 24 in the local court.
