Information sought to solve holdup at central-city bank

6/30/2007

Toledo police are seeking information through the Crime Stopper program about a man who last month robbed a central-city bank branch of an undisclosed amount of money.

The robber walked into the National City Bank branch, 2470 Cherry St., shortly after 9:15 a.m. on May 31 and demanded money from a teller. No weapon was seen.

The man was last seen on foot heading southeast through the parking lot with the money in a white plastic grocery bag, the FBI said.

He was described as black, between 25 and 35 years old, about 5 feet, 10 inches tall, and thin. He wore a white shirt, a black New York Yankees baseball cap, heavy thick sunglasses, and an Ace bandage on his right hand.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Crime Stopper program. Callers may remain anonymous and may be eligible for a cash reward.
