47 area domestic violence suspects arrested in a county-wide sweep, Lucas County sheriff says

Law enforcement agents arrested 47 domestic violence suspects in a county-wide sweep that lasted from 6:30 a.m.to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday, authorities announced today.

Of the 47 arrested, 11 are women, according to the Lucas County Sheriff's Office.

The annual Domestic Violence Warrant Sweep involved about 75 officers from 25 agencies.

The figures were released at a news conference held at 11 a.m. today at the EMS/911 Training Center, 2147 Jefferson St., which was attended by local, state and federal agencies who were involved in the sweep.
