Bowling Green firefighter, 43, dies off duty, chief says

An off-duty Bowling Green firefighter died Wednesday, according to the department’s fire chief Tom Sanderson. 

Dave Molnar, 43, died Wednesday, the chief said. 

Chief Sanderson said he did not have information regarding Mr. Molnar’s death, but the chief said Mr. Molnar was not on-duty at the time.

The fire chief described Mr. Molnar as a dedicated firefighter who was respected for his work ethic. 

“Our thoughts are with his family and fellow firefighters during this difficult time,” said Mr. Sanderson.
