The Toledo Fire Department's arson unit has been called out to investigate an early-morning house fire in central Toledo.

The fire at 2260 Vermont Ave., broke out at 4:35 a.m. Thursday, according to fire officials. The cause of the fire is under investigation, but initial reports suggest the fire began in the living room.

Damage to the one-story home, which is believed to be occupied, is estimated at $40,000 and an additional $5,000 to the contents.

No one was home at the time of the fire, officials said.

Lucas County property records show the home, owned by Sean A. Love, is in foreclosure.
