DeWine, others urge defeat of Issue 3
Ohio Attorney General Mike DeWine was joined by three local sheriffs, local ministers, and a local nonprofit addiction-treatment provider in Toledo on Tuesday to urge a “no” vote on the state’s marijuana-legalization amendment, Issue 3. The proposed constitutional amendment on the Nov. 3 ballot would legalize pot sales and possession by adults 21 and up, while setting up a regulatory system that would restrict commercial growing of marijuana to 10 licensees. Those 10 are identified by land parcel in the amendment, and the parcels are owned by investors in the campaign to pass Issue 3.
