Ohio House votes to ease access to overdose antidote
The Ohio House on Wednesday unanimously approved a bill to increase public access without a prescription to a drug that can reverse a heroin overdose in midstream. Someone at risk of overdosing or who knows someone at risk could obtain the drug, Naloxone, usually as an advance precaution, from pharmacies, health departments, or treatment programs instead of visiting a doctor for a prescription.
