Hancock County judge retiring after lively 4 decades
He used to jail parents — one day for every day their child was truant. He once locked up former Cleveland Cavaliers forward Bob “Bingo” Smith for failing to pay child support. Most famously, though, Hancock County Juvenile and Probate Judge Allan Davis in 2013 declared a living man legally dead. It made international news.
