Waite High School opens doors to walkers
Waite High School is opening its hallways to senior citizens, part of a partnership with the East Toledo Senior Activities center, so that they can walk the halls in the school from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. on weekdays until May. The program is a collaboration between TPS and the Area Office on Aging, expanding on a pilot effort started last year at Bowsher High School. About 10 people from the Margaret Hunt Senior Center regularly walk Bowsher’s halls, said Linda Meyers, an assistant superintendent.
