Sewer collapse pushes Talmadge traffic to side streets
City officials have installed temporary speed bumps on one neighborhood street, plan them for two others, and have sent police out to monitor speed and stop-sign compliance in the area near where Talmadge Road has been blocked by a sewer collapse since late August. But a resident of Clover Lane, one of the cut-through streets Talmadge motorists have used rather than a circuitous detour via Secor Road, says speeding, traffic congestion, and disregard for stop signs remains a problem.
