Marble tabletop an unexpected historical find
The marble-topped table acquired by a Connecticut vintage furnishings company looked like other printer tables from the 19th century, until it revealed a most unexpected mystery. The old table’s distinguishing feature was the beautiful, heavy top. It caught the eye of Get Back Inc. owner and designer, Tim Byrne, whose company reconditions and sells unique furniture. He purchased the table from a Buffalo antiques dealer a couple of years ago.
