Gunfire erupts at North Carolina high school, shooter in custody

Winston Salem, N.C. -- A shooting erupted today at a high school in Winston-Salem, N.C., and one person was later taken into police custody, a school official said.

At least one person suffered minor injuries during the shooting at Carver High School, local television station WGHP-TV reported. The shooter is in police custody, said Kim Underwood, a spokesman for the Winston-Salem/Forsyth County school system.
