NBC: Lake's Rettig throws for 602 yards, 7 TDs

Lake 54, Elmwood 40

MILLBURY — Jared Rettig passed for 602 yards and seven touchdowns to lead Lake to a shootout victory Friday night over Elmwood in a Northern Buckeye Conference game.

Rettig completed 33 of his 47 passes and threw four touchdowns of 50 yards or more.

Chris Salaz notched 181 yards receiving, while Ben Swartz added 124 yards, each scoring two touchdowns. Connor Bowen, Zach Schroeder, and Adam Duncan caught a TD passes for the Flyers (2-4, 1-2).

Derick Mobus rushed for 160 yards and three touchdowns to lead Elmwood (3-3, 1-2).

Zach Foster passed for 203 yards and a touchdown, while Aaron Arnold and Michael Smith added touchdown runs.

Eastwood 14 Rossford 7

Eastwood used a successful rushing attack to get past host Rossford.

Brent Schlumbohm led the ground game for the Eagles (3-3, 3-0), carrying the ball 25 times for 99 yards and a touchdown. Skyler Dierker added 52 yards and a touchdown on nine carries.

Ryan Clay scored the only touchdown for Rossford (3-3, 1-2) and finished the game with 65 yards and a touchdown on 12 carries.

Ian Stolar also rushed 15 times for 62 yards for the Bulldogs.

Genoa 48, Otsego 27

GENOA — Kyle Nutter paced Genoa with 228 yards rushing on 41 carries and scored four touchdowns.

Nutter tallied on runs of 1, 1, 4, and 5 as the Comets ensured the victory with 24 fourth-quarter points.

Logan Scott threw for 124 yards and tossed two touchdowns to Casey Gose (30 and 36 yards) for Genoa (6-0, 3-0).

For Otsego (3-3, 2-1), Ryan Smoyer passed for 413 yards and four touchdowns on 31 completions, connecting with Nate Hackworth for two scores and Jerome Griffin for two.

Woodmore 60, Fostoria 33

FOSTORIA — Jake Matwiejczyk accounted for 413 yards of total offense, passed for five touchdowns, and ran for three more as the Wildcats (3-3, 1-2) won on the road.

The junior completed TD passes of 30 and 34 yards to Evan Ulinski, who finished with five receptions and 117 yards. Tony Rozzi caught 35- and three-yard touchdown passes, and Colton Bihn scored on a 30-yard pass.

Overall, Matwiejczyk finished with eight rushes for 146 yards and TD runs that covered 21, 63, and 25 yards. He completed 16 of 24 passes for 267 yards.

Dom Fuller led Fostoria (0-6, 0-3) with a 68-yard interception return for a score, a 25-yard TD pass and a 56-yard TD run. Braxton Miller and Tony Mauricio both ran in for scores.

Woodmore rolled up 496 of total offense, compared to 241 for Fostoria.
