Ottawa Hills 45, Danbury 22
LAKESIDE — Jonathan Rodriguez threw three touchdowns as the Green Bears got out to a quick start in a win over the Lakers.
Rodriguez threw two touchdowns to Dillon Overmeyer (26 and 20 yards) and a third to Cole Ferguson (19 yards) for Ottawa Hills (6-2, 5-0 TAAC). Judah Wollenburg had 86 yards rushing including a 55-yard scoring run. He added a 21-yard TD pass to Lucas Janowicz.
Thomas Kropp added a six-yard touchdown run for the Green Bears.
Brandon Bahnsen threw for 183 yards and a pair of touchdowns, connecting twice with Jim Chamberlin (46 and 73 yards).
Bahnsen also had a four-run TD run for the Lakers (2-6, 1-4). Chamberlin finished with 184 yards receiving.
Gibsonburg 54, Hilltop 20
GIBSONBURG — Quarterback Matt Tille scored three touchdowns, threw for three more, and accounted for 304 of Gibsonburg’s 403 total yards on offense as the Golden Bears rolled over Hilltop.
Tille rushed 12 times for 115 yards and was 9 for 16 passing for 189 yards. The Bears’ Derek Angelone had five receptions for 114 yards, including one TD.
Miklo Abner led the Cadets ground game with 17 carries for 83 yards. Chad Champion rushed seven times for 58 yards.
Northwood 41,Toledo Christian 10
The unbeaten Rangers racked up nearly 500 yards of offense — 499, to be exact — to win their TAAC game in Perrysburg.
Nick Russell led Northwood (8-0, 5-0 TAAC) with three touchdowns and 54 yards on only five carries. He completed 8 of 13 passes for 138 yards and one score, a 13-yard throw to Evan Perkins.
Nick Whitmore added a 10-yard TD run, and Anthony Prothero a five-yard TD run. Whitmore ran for 98 yards on 11 carries, leading the Rangers to a 361-yard game on 57 attempts.
Matt Brumbaugh scored the lone touchdown for Toledo Christian (4-4, 3-2) on a 25-yard pass from Josh Winzeler, who completed 11 of 18 passes for 95 yards. Winzeler added 72 yards on 18 carries.
