TAAC: Green Bears use quick start to stay perfect in conference

Ot­tawa Hills 45, Dan­bury 22

LAKESIDE — Jon­a­than Ro­dri­guez threw three touch­downs as the Green Bears got out to a quick start in a win over the Lak­ers.

Ro­dri­guez threw two touch­downs to Dil­lon Over­meyer (26 and 20 yards) and a third to Cole Fer­gu­son (19 yards) for Ot­tawa Hills (6-2, 5-0 TAAC). Ju­dah Wol­len­burg had 86 yards rush­ing in­clud­ing a 55-yard scor­ing run. He added a 21-yard TD pass to Lu­cas Janow­icz.

Tho­mas Kropp added a six-yard touch­down run for the Green Bears.

Bran­don Bahnsen threw for 183 yards and a pair of touch­downs, con­nect­ing twice with Jim Cham­ber­lin (46 and 73 yards).

Bahnsen also had a four-run TD run for the Lak­ers (2-6, 1-4). Cham­ber­lin fin­ished with 184 yards re­ceiv­ing.

Gib­son­burg 54, Hill­top 20

GIBSONBURG — Quar­ter­back Matt Tille scored three touch­downs, threw for three more, and ac­counted for 304 of Gib­son­burg’s 403 to­tal yards on of­fense as the Golden Bears rolled over Hill­top.

Tille rushed 12 times for 115 yards and was 9 for 16 pass­ing for 189 yards. The Bears’ Derek An­ge­lone had five re­cep­tions for 114 yards, in­clud­ing one TD.

Miklo Ab­ner led the Cadets ground game with 17 car­ries for 83 yards. Chad Cham­pion rushed seven times for 58 yards.

North­wood 41,Toledo Chris­tian 10

The un­beaten Rangers racked up nearly 500 yards of of­fense — 499, to be ex­act — to win their TAAC game in Per­rys­burg.

Nick Rus­sell led North­wood (8-0, 5-0 TAAC) with three touch­downs and 54 yards on only five car­ries. He com­pleted 8 of 13 passes for 138 yards and one score, a 13-yard throw to Evan Perkins.

Nick Whit­more added a 10-yard TD run, and An­thony Prothero a five-yard TD run. Whit­more ran for 98 yards on 11 car­ries, lead­ing the Rangers to a 361-yard game on 57 at­tempts.

Matt Brum­baugh scored the lone touch­down for Toledo Chris­tian (4-4, 3-2) on a 25-yard pass from Josh Winzeler, who com­pleted 11 of 18 passes for 95 yards. Winzeler added 72 yards on 18 car­ries.
