KALAMAZOO, Mich. - By virtue of a 4-1 win over Kalamazoo tonight, the Walleye are now just one win away from clinching a spot in the ECHL playoffs.

Willie Coetzee scored twice and goalie Kent Simpson made 32 saves to lead Toledo to the important road win.

Tyler Brenner scored the game winner and Joey Martin tallied his 14th goal of the season to open the scoring. Martin also had an assist.

If the Walleye defeat Reading in a matchup in Toledo Saturday night, they will clinch a spot in the playoffs. Toledo has four games left in the regular season and need just two points to guarantee a playoff berth.

Coetzee, the team's leading scorer, also had an assist.
