Johnny Gray wins Funny Car title

NORWALK, Ohio - Johnny Gray won the Funny Car title by edging out Ron Capps today at the Summit Racing Equipment NHRA Nationals at Summit Motorsports Park.

Gray and Capps had identical finals run times of 4.103 seconds, but the difference came down to the start - only 6/1000ths of a second separated the two drivers from the start of the race, which became the difference.

Matt Smith won the Pro Stock Motorcycle title, while Mike Edwards won the Pro Stock title, defeating 2012 Pro Stock champion Allen Johnson. Khalid alBalooshi won the Top Fuel title.
