Logano wins Pure Michigan 400

BROOKLYN, Mich. - Driving in the backyard of his team owner, Joey Logano won today's Pure Michigan 400 at Michigan International Speedway.

Logano, who won the pole for the NASCAR race, took over the race lead with less than three laps left when race leader Mark Martin ran out of fuel.

Driving in his first season for Detroit-based Penske Racing, Logano earned his first win of the season. Logano finished ahead of Kevin Harvick, Kurt Busch, Paul Menard and Clint Bowyer.

Brad Keselowski, a native of Rochester Hills, Mich., finished 12th.
