DETROIT — The Detroit Red Wings have agreed to terms on a two-year contract with restricted free agent Gustav Nyquist.

General manager Ken Holland announced the deal today. He didn't disclose other terms.

Detroit selected Nyquist in the fourth round of the 2008 Hockey League Entry Draft. He was the draft's 121st selection.

The 23-year-old forward appeared in 22 games last season, scoring six points. Nyquist also had five points in 14 playoff games.

The Detroit Sports Broadcasters Association selected Nyquist as the team's Rookie of the Year.
