The team also has invited a player from the Mud Hens to participate in camp. Mike Cervenak, a native of Trenton, Mich., hit .291 in 81 games during the 2013 season with the Mud Hens. Cervenak plays hockey during the baseball offseason and received an invite from the Walleye to tryout.

“This is such an exciting time of the year where we get to see all of the hard work of the summer on the ice for the first time,” Walleye coach Nick Vitucci said. “We have so many talented players in this year’s camp. It is going to be fun to watch and a great way to build up for the start of the year.”
