BEREA, Ohio — Browns quarterback Brandon Weeden’s season has gone full circle in five weeks.

He’s been a starter, injured, demoted, called upon as a backup, booed by Cleveland fans and led the Browns to their third straight win. Weeden said he did a lot of “soul searching” and has grown from the experience.

Weeden’s getting a second chance to start after Brian Hoyer, who began the year as Cleveland’s No. 3 QB, sustained a season-ending knee injury last week against Buffalo. Weeden said he understands why Cleveland fans were hard on him after he started poorly against the Bills. He’s been working on getting rid of the ball quicker to take the pressure off Cleveland’s offensive line and feels as if he can keep the Browns offense moving.

Weeden went 13 of 24 for 197 yards with one touchdown last week after replacing Hoyer in the first quarter.
