FISHERS, Ind. — Toledo captured its second tournament title of the fall on Tuesday with a seven-stroke victory over Ball State at The Preview. The tournament was held at Hawthorns Golf and Country Club, the site of the 2014 Mid-American Conference Women’s Golf Championship.
Sophomore Manisa Isavas paced the Rockets with a career-best second-place showing as she finished just two strokes behind medalist Jenna Hague (72-75-147) of Ball State with a five-over par 149 (74-75). Right behind Isavas was classmate Sathika Ruenreong, who finished in a three-way tie for third place at eight-over par 152 (74-78).
Senior Kate Hoops also registered a top 10-finish for the Rockets by tying for seventh place at 10-over par 154 (79-75).
The University of Toledo’s “Hoops Hysteria” basketball preview at Savage Arena has been moved to 7 p.m. Oct. 24. Fans can get their first look at the 2013-14 men’s and women’s teams.
