Oak Harbor's Kontak named coach of the year

Oak Harbor girls basketball coach Tom Kontak shared the Division III coach of the year honors in the Associated Press All-Ohio team that was released this evening.

Kontak led the Rockets to an 18-4 regular-season record.

Liberty-Benton senior Rachel Myers, who averaged 23.3 points per game, earned first-team all-state honors.

Archbold senior Cassidy Wyse, who averaged 14.1 points per game, was named to the Division III All-Ohio second team.

Oak Harbor sophomore Andrea Cecil, who scored 19.6 points per game, earned a spot on the D-III third team.

In Division IV, Holgate senior Marissa Myles earned All-Ohio second team honors. Fostoria St. Wendelin sophomore Kamryn Troike also was named to the D-IV second team.
