Hens shutout Louisville

Toledo holds visitors to meager 3 hits

Kyle Ryan and two relievers combined to limit visiting Louisville to three hits and pitch the Mud Hens to a 5-0 victory at Fifth Third Field tonight.

Ryan allowed only a single in the first inning, walking three and striking out four in six innings. Kenny Faulk threw two scoreless frames and Justin Miller pitched a scoreless ninth.

Offensively the key blow was a bases-loaded three-run double by Ben Guez as part of a four-run sixth. Jordan Lennerton had three hits, including an RBI single, and Marcus Lemon had a run-scoring double in the sixth.
