University of Toledo sophomore wide receiver Diontae Johnson is doing a little bit of everything for the Rockets this season.

He is fifth in the Mid-American Conference in receiving at 82 yards per game. He has 30 catches for 492 yards and five touchdowns. But he is also contributing in the kickoff return game where he has proven to be a dangerous return man.

He broke a 99-yard TD on a kickoff return against Elon. Altogether, Johnson has 15 kick returns for 346 yards, an average of 23.1 yards per return, which is tops in the MAC.

With his receiving and kickoff returns, Johnson is the MAC leader in all-purpose yards at 139.3 yards per game.

With Toledo’s top receiver Cody Thompson out for the season, Johnson could be counted on as the Rockets’ main target in the passing game moving forward. So his already good receiving numbers could be getting even better as the season progresses.
