The University of Toledo has a new women’s golf coach.

UT vice president and athletic director Mike O’Brien announced Thursday that Jenny Coluccio will be the third coach in program history.

Coluccio has spent the past five years as an assistant coach at Illinois.

"I would like to thank Mike O'Brien and the University of Toledo for this tremendous opportunity," Coluccio said in a release. “With the strong foundation that is present here, the potential is limitless. I'm looking forward to building on the success the team has experienced over in recent years, and I'm very excited to see how far we can go."

Toledo finished second at the Mid-American Conference tournament this year despite coach Nicole Hollingsworth stepping down in February.

In her five seasons at Illinois, Coluccio helped the program reach NCAA regionals on two occasions. After the 2018 season, the Illini were ranked No. 23 in Golfstat’s national rankings.

"We are excited to have Jenny as the new leader of our women's golf program," O'Brien said in a release. "Her passion for golf and her ability to teach the game as well as recruit will be extremely beneficial to our student-athletes. She has experienced tremendous success as a head coach and assistant coach at the collegiate level."

Coluccio was men’s and women’s coach at the University of Sioux Falls in Division II before her stint at Illinois.
