Division I

Whitmer 43, Start 33

At Central Catholic, Edward Colbert scored 22 points as the Panthers won their boys basketball sectional title Friday night. Areon Evans added 10 points for Whitmer (19-5).

Whitmer will play St. Francis in the district semifinals at 8 p.m. Thursday at Savage Arena.

Brandon Lewis led Start (20-4) with 10 points.

St. Francis 51, Bowling Green 42

At Central Catholic, Jakiel Wells scored 16 points and Jackie Harris added 14 for the Knights (19-5), who advanced.

Isaac Elsasser led Bowling Green (8-15) with 18 points.

Anthony Wayne 65, Findlay 52

FOSTORIA — Max Denman scored 23 points, Andrew Murphy added 17, and the Generals (17-7) marched into district play. They will face Lima Senior at 8 p.m. Wednesday at Savage Arena.

Ryan Roth led Findlay (14-10) with 19 points. Ryan Nunn added 17.

Lima Senior 61, Springfield 54

FOSTORIA — Jaleel King scored 12 points, and nine other Spartans (13-11) scored in a balanced effort.

Terrel Bryant and Denzel Prince both scored 18 to lead Springfield (7-17).

Central Catholic 66, Bowsher 49

GENOA — Jonzell Norris scored 26 points as the Irish (9-14) advanced to the district semifinals, where they draw St. John’s at 6:15 p.m. Wednesday at Savage Arena.

Dominique Cole and Kendal Marshall added 11 apiece for Central Catholic.

Ajai Washington had 14 points for the Rebels (10-11). Damion Washington added 11 and Shawn Hoskins 10.

St. John’s 69, Ashland 27

GENOA — Vincent Williams, Jr., scored 23 points and Houston King added 16 for the Titans (20-3).

No players scored in double digits for Ashland (2-21).

Division II

Wauseon 59, Celina 19

FINDLAY — Wauseon (24-0) jumped out a huge first-half lead, then cruised into a district semfinal game against Van Wert (13-10) at 8 p.m. Wednesday in Ada at Northern Ohio University.

Division III

Eastwood 71, Woodmore 59

At Anthony Wayne, Cory Coffman finished with 15 points, Tyler Haas 14, Cade Boos 12, and Logan Frobose 10 as the Eagles (18-6) advanced to play Archbold. That game will be at 6:15 p.m. Thursday at Central Catholic.

Mitchell Miller led Woodmore (17-7) with 23 points. Kevin Paul and Drew Burner both added 10.

Archbold 66, Swanton 31

At Anthony Wayne, Austin Wiemken scored 22 points and Bryce Williams 14 as the Blue Streaks (20-3) advanced.

Josh Vance and Randy Slink both scored seven for Swanton (7-17).

Cardinal Stritch 66, Gibsonburg 23

At Bowsher, Little Anderson and Joey Holifield both scored 16 points, Jordan Burton added 11, and the Cardinals (23-1) cruised. They will face Genoa in the district semifinals at 8 p.m. Thursday at Central Catholic.

Josh Ernsthausen led Gibsonburg (9-15) with five points.

Genoa 55, Rossford 43

At Bowsher the Comets ( 20-4), roll behind the 30 points of Jake Plantz.  Andrew Bench added 14. Genoa was 16 of 20 at the foul line.

They will play Cardinal Stritch next Thursday in the District at Central Catholic.

Camron Gaston led the Bulldogs (9-15) with 14 points.

Oak Harbor 65, Willard 35

BASCOM — The Rockets (19-4) advanced to the Norwalk district behind 13 points by Alex Gezo.

Clay Schulte and Aric McAtee each finished with 12 points and Tate Smith added 10 for Oak Harbor, which will face Carey in the district semfinals at 6:15 p.m. Thursday in Norwalk.

Terry Baldridge led Willard (6-18) with nine points.

Division IV

Maumee Valley 58, Emmanuel Christian 45

WAUSEON — Stephen Coleman scored 22 points, Zeb Jackson 13, and Sam Crane 11 as the Hawks (19-5) advanced to the district semifinals.

Maumee Valley will face Ottawa Hills at 8 p.m. Tuesday in Napoleon.

Jailon Walker led Emmanuel Christian (10-13) with 18 points.

Ottawa Hills 47, Stryker 39

WAUSEON — Eliot Cummings and Tony Coil each scored 11 points for the Green Bears (14-9), who shot 10 of 14 from the free-throw line to win the game in overtime. Tysen Chappell had 10 points.

Chase Glock led Stryker (16-8) with 11 points.

Kalida 47, Patrick Henry 37

OTTAWA — Trevor Lambert scored 16 points, Grant Laudick 13, and Luke Erhart 10 to spark Kalida (18-6).

Xavier Wensink led the Patriots (10-14) with 14 points.

Columbus Grove 69, North Baltimore 46

OTTAWA — Tayt Birnesser led the way with 18 points as Columbus Grove (10-13) advanced to the district semfinals. Logan Schroeder finished with 17 points, and Logan Malsam had 16.

Tyler Durfey had 11 points to pace the Tigers (19-5).
