Tuesday’s game: Christin Stewart’s home run in the seventh inning proved to be the difference in a 2-1 Hens victory over Durham as starter Ryan Carpenter and relievers Kevin Comer and Louis Coleman combined to strike out 16 Bulls.

Transactions: While the Mud Hens made no moves Tuesday, the Bulls added infielders Jake Cronenworth and Andrew Velazquez from Double-A Montgomery in the Southern League.

Notes: Mud Hens 1B-OF Chad Huffman enters play today with a six-game hitting streak in which he has batted .333 with a pair of doubles, a home run and three RBIs. … Durham’s Cronenworth, who played at the University of Michigan, was hitless in his 28 at-bats with Montgomery to start this season, yet collected an RBI single in his first at-bat with Durham on Tuesday.
