TAAC: Danbury beats Stritch 69-56

Cardinal Stritch would like to forget the second and third quarters of last night s game with Danbury.

The Cardinals made only 5 of 26 shots in the middle quarters and were outscored 38-19 (5 points in the third), leading to a 69-56 Toledo Area Athletic Conference victory for the Lakers (13-2, 7-1).

Jake Fanning scored 23 points and Eric Ludrowsky added 20 for the No. 8-ranked Lakers, and each grabbed seven rebounds.

Joe Eccleston scored 17 points for Stritch (10-5, 5-3), and added 10 rebounds. A.J. LaCourse chipped in 12.

The Boggs brothers carried the Eagles past the Warriors.

Andrew Boggs scored 19 points for Toledo Christian (7-7, 4-4), making 11-of-15 free throws including 9-of-10 in the final quarter.

Matthew Boggs chipped in with 16 points and 14 rebounds.

Scott Nietz scored 27 for Emmanuel Baptist (4-12, 3-6).

Corey Canaday scored 23 points to lead Northwood (2-13, 1-9) over Maumee Valley in overtime - with the Rangers outscoring the Hawks 14-0 in the extra session.

Ross Peters and Tom Nehring scored 14 and 13 points, respectively, for the Rangers.

Delence Sheares posted 20 points for Maumee Valley (5-9, 2-6) and Craig Choka contributed 19.
